The
Mainevent Boyz” is
a Dynamic upcoming Rap group
from St. Louis, Missouri.;
“The Show Me State”.
The group consists of two
members, J Mone. E (Jordan
Foster) and Dredz Da Great
(Keith Holmes). J. Mon.
E is from Cleveland, Mississippi,
Dredz Da Great is from Atlanta,
Georgia. Each member has
done their own thing musically
prior to joining “The
Mainevent Boyz.” For
example, both guys first
performed as solo artists
and later went on to perform
in other groups..
J. Mone. E started with
I.M.P Records in 2004, Dredz
Da Great performed with
local group Trouble Squad
in 2006. Together these
two talented individuals
form “The Mainevent
Boyz”. They have been
performing together for
two years now. They have
seen and experienced the
good and bad sides of St.
Louis inner city streets.
Their raw experience is
boldly projected through
their lyrics and heard in
their music. From their
inspirational anthems to
club banger jams, they are
well known in the Lou for
attracting a crowd and for
getting a party Crunked!
Before these two young men
were smitten by the rap
bug, they both had very
different aspirations. For
example, J. Mone. E had
earned a football scholarship
to Pine bluff, Arkansas.
Dredz Da Great attended
Webster University while
pursing a degree in engineering.
These two guys have the
dedication and determination
to continue making great
music. Look for “The
Mainevent Boyz” to
blow up real soon!!
ALLURE just returned
from Australia where
they performed as
part of the Made in
the 90's Tour. They
are back in the studio
completing several
new projects including
a planned Christmas
album this year. Below
is a review of Allure's
performance on the
tour as well as concert
footage from their
performance in Sydney.

ALLURE
Following a lame video
of some comedian talking
about the 90’s,
the quartet-turned-trio
Allure hit the stage.
Now, although Allure
have a very small
amount of hits given
their 5-album discography,
but despite this their
biggest hit “All
Cried Out” remains
one of the most endearing
female R&B jams
of the late 90’s
and the reception
when this was performed
is a testament to
how loved this song
is, and how undoubtedly
close it is to many
females (and maybe
guys too) hearts.
Completely taken
by surprised, Allure
put on a show-stealing
performance, displaying
their very powerful
vocals, their ability
to harmonize so beautifully,
and their very energetic
stage presence.
All the hits were
in the set, from “Enjoy
Yourself” to
“Head over Heels”
and even some well-executed
covers of classics
like The Emotions’
“Best of My
Love.” However,
it was the aforementioned
“All Cried Out”
which stole the show,
being not just the
highlight of the set,
but the highlight
of the night - it’s
just a shame that
the song’s performance
was much shorter than
the actual track,
and Slim from 112
wasn’t there
to lend his distinctive
vocals to make the
song complete.
