MISS NANA BIO
Miss Nana is a
American rapper from Newark, New Jersey. Miss Nana first began rapping when
DJ King Shameek,
a member of rap group Twin Hype, heard her rapping on her father's voicemail.
He later suggested Stokes do
a promotion for Wendy Williams' radio show on WBLS. Afterwards, the promo led
to other projects such as remixes,
appearances in other radio shows across the country.
Miss Nana was invited
by Bow Wow to join him on his Unleashed Tour in 2003.[citation needed] He also
appeared
as a host on her album I Got the Hood and invited her to his 19th birthday party.
She has released seven albums.
She has performed throughout the country with artists such as Lil' Jon, Marques
Houston, Mario, Amerie, Lil' Kim,
Floetry, ATL, 50 Cent, 3LW, Ying Yang Twins, J-Kwon, Rah Digga, Wyclef Jean,
8Ball & MJG, Chico DeBarge, Keith
Murray and Joe Budden.[citation needed] Miss Nana released a music video for
her single "Problems in My Hood".
The music video was shot in her hometown of Newark and can be seen on her website
as well as an upcoming DVD.
